We are seeking a communications intern
Civil Rights Defenders Communications Department is the face and hub of the organisation. We report and publish news articles about developments in the regions where we are active in and strive to increase awareness of the organisation both in Sweden and internationally.
In the autumn, we are seeking an intern for the Department with a passion for Human Rights. Experience and a background in media is a distinct advantage. The intern will be part of the organisation’s communications team and work under the guidance of the Head of Communications.
Duties: As an intern you will be involved in the implementation of the Communication Departments mission. You will write articles, complete research and translation work and be a general support to the Department. Since Civil Rights Defenders communicates in English and Swedish, we seek a person who can speak and write fluently in both languages.
Qualifications: The intern should have a genuine interest in human rights and a keen interest in the work we do. The intern should also be able to express themselves in writing in English and Swedish. A background in journalism and communication is an advantage as well as proven experience in human rights work for other non-profit organisations or projects in Sweden or abroad.
